Overview

Bio-Synthesis, Inc. designs and manufactures biotinylated oligonucleotides and affinity-tagged DNA/RNA for capture, immobilization, enrichment, and detection. Under our OligoDx™ platform we offer 5′ biotin oligos, biotin TEG spacers, biotinylated dT (internal), NHS-biotin for post-synthetic labeling, and click-ready azide options, along with desthiobiotin for reversible capture, digoxigenin (DIG) and DNP hapten probes, and photocleavable biotin for on-demand release.

Typical applications include streptavidin/NeutrAvidin capture on magnetic beads, ELONA/ELISA-like plates, microarrays & biosensors, ISH/DIG detection, lateral flow, and library prep. We provide HPLC purification, ESI-MS, and documentation aligned with ISO 9001/13485.

Our services include custom design & synthesis (5′ biotin, biotin TEG, internal Bio‑dT, dual biotin, desthiobiotin‑TEG, DIG/DNP, PC‑Biotin), conjugation via NHS‑ester or click chemistry, and assay‑specific QC (HPLC, ESI‑MS; streptavidin‑binding tests on request). Technical Notes
  • TEG spacer vs. 5′ biotin: TEG (PEG-like) increases accessibility on crowded surfaces; often improves binding kinetics.
  • NHS-biotin coupling: React at pH 7.5–8.5 in anhydrous buffer; avoid Tris. Quench and purify by HPLC.
  • Internal biotin (dT): Choose positions away from critical hybridization sites to avoid duplex disruption.
